The Relion 900 is built on the back of Intel’s Grantley-EP platform and Xeon® E5-2600 v3 and v4 generation of processors. Employing the Intel C612 ‘Wellsburg’ chipset series, Penguin Computing’s Relion 900 provides one solution for both efficiency and cost-effectiveness. A fixed 600W 80Plus Gold power supply ensures solid sustainability in environments presented with power and cooling restraints, and with ‘RAS’ (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) features like RAID options, Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0 support and ‘KVM over IP’ functionality, this platform delivers a reliable and scalable solution for all mission critical workloads. Along with these RAS features, the Relion 900 can support up to 14 cores per processor, and provide up to 1TB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM, a configuration that will excel as a host platform in any virtualization environment. Basic configuration options are available for scale-out deployments, thus allowing a versatile solution for those seeking optimal performance in a limited HPC environment. The ability to support up to two PCIe x8 Gen3 low profile cards and a single mezzanine for RAID makes the Relion 900 a power-house for performance per watt, per square foot, while accomplishing intensive data center needs and applications.
