Relion 2940 Server

The Relion 2940 is engineered on Intel’s new Grantley-EP platform Xeon® E5-2600 v3 and v4 processors. Utilizing the Intel C612 ‘Wellsburg’ series chipset, it is a versatile four-node server well suited for efficient performance and HPC workstations. With ‘RAS’ (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) features like RAID options, IPMI 2.0 support and ‘KVM over IP’ functionality make this platform a good fit for mission critical workloads. With these RAS features as well as up to 16 cores per processor and up to 1TB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM the system is also an excellent choice as a host platform in virtualization environments. For scale-out deployments, basic configuration options are available, making the Relion 2940 an attractive choice for those seeking a balance between performance and power efficiency. Extra functionality is available by offering both a PCIe x16 slot and a PCIe x8 mezzanine slot. The Relion 2940 also provides HPC users the ability to customize and optimize their system(s) for specific needs or application requirements.
