Penguin Computing Moves to Bolster Federal Business
In a recent contributed article in Government Product News, Penguin Computing Senior Vice President of Federal Computing, Sidney Mair, provided advice to government decision makers about what to expect from vendors regarding fiscal year end federal spending.
It’s the type of expertise Mair gained from more than 30 years of business experience, including a significant record of increasing government market revenues for private sector companies. Penguin Computing hired him this year to grow the company’s federal government business. Mair’s background involves leading across all aspects of the federal market, including the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and civilian agencies in both classified and unclassified areas, as well the Executive and Congressional branches of government. He has served in leadership positions as CEO, President, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Director of Business Development, Regional/District Sales Manager and in direct selling roles with several companies.
Mair has a Master’s Degree in Leadership and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math and Computer Systems. He began his career at NASA and has led organizations in the computing industry across a wide range of hardware and software technologies, primarily in the High Performance Computing markets.
