Relion 1702 chassis packs two independent x86 nodes, doubling the CPU horsepower available in 1U rackmount form factor. Penguin Relion 1702 is targeted for cluster deployments where emphasis is on delivering the maximum CPU performance and RAM capacity within limited physical space.
Each of the two nodes supports the very latest high performance features: Completely new Intel architecture based on Intel 5520 "Tylersburg" chipset, chipset, two Intel 5500 series "Nehalem" CPUs and DDR3 memory connected directly to the CPU. Integrated InfiniBand fabric interface is available as an option.
Tested and proven Linux compatibility comes standard with all Penguin servers and 3-year hardware warranty is always included.
