Penguin Altus 1701 is a versatile 1U platform for both High Performance Computing clusters and for critical enterprise applications. For computing intensive applications Altus 1700 provides latest AMD Opteron "Istanbul" six core CPUs, adding 50% more processing engines compared to the previous models. Mission critical applications are supported by RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) features such as redundant power supplies, optional RAID and hardware health monitoring. All Altus 1701 models include IPMI 2.0 remote monitoring and management capabilities, simplifying large cluster deployments and off-site administration.
