Our Linux-based Altus series feature Six-Core and Quad Core AMD® Opteron processors offering top-line performance that's bottom-line efficient. Six-core performance in a quad-core footprint lets you run more and scale higher, while helping save energy. AMD Opteron processors offer the right balance of performance, power efficiency and cost- delivering value at every price point. Current models also feature the latest NVIDIA chipset and DDR2 memory. SATA and SAS storage options are available with hot swappable drives and optional RAID controllers and battery backup. This newest generation of Altus servers is equipped with IPMI 2.0, enabling true lights-out management via serial over LAN, remote power control and remote system health monitoring of your servers whether they are down the hall or on the other side of the world.
