Penguin Computing, a leading provider of HPC cluster solutions and member of the Board of Advisors of Intel’s Technology Provider Program, announced today that Penguin Computing will provide early access to the next generation Intel Server Systems featuring the future Intel Xeon processor E5 family for select customers.
Penguin will offer access to these pre-production systems based on the Intel Xeon processor E5 family through Penguin Computing’s public HPC cloud Penguin on Demand (POD) to customers under NDA.
“Our close relationship with Intel allows us to provide early access to next generation systems well ahead of the official release,” says Charles Wuischpard, CEO, Penguin Computing. “This is a unique opportunity for our customers to get familiar with the benefits this new technology has to offer and to benchmark and optimize their code for this new compute platform.”
“The HPC community has shown a huge interest in Intel’s upcoming server boards & systems portfolio supporting the future Intel Xeon processor E5 family” says David Brown, GM of the Enterprise Platforms and Services Division at Intel. “Penguin Computing’s public HPC cloud Penguin on Demand (POD) is a great way to let customers evaluate these new server building blocks.”
