Penguin has over thirteen years of Linux experience and has successfully delivered hundreds of HPC clusters ranging from departmental clusters to multi-million-dollar 'Top 100' supercomputers to a wide range of industry verticals such as academia, government, life sciences, manufacturing, financial services and web hosting. Penguin currently has an installed base of approximately 18,000 systems in over 40 countries. Solutions from Penguin Computing meet the needs of the world's most demanding HPC and enterprise customers such as AOL, NASA, Caterpillar, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Life Technologies and the US Navy. Penguin Computing is also one of the first providers to successfully implement a public cloud that was designed exclusively for HPC. Penguin’s public cloud POD has so far processed a workload of over 10 million jobs. Penguin Computing's cluster management software Scyld ClusterWare was developed by one of the original architects of the Beowulf Cluster, an HPC cluster architecture that revolutionized the industry by enabling the replacement of traditional supercomputers with clusters of Linux-based commodity systems.
